Greek Salad

Horiatiki Salad or more commonly known as Greek Salad is the salad of choice in Greece especially by farmers who have all the freshest ingredients to have this salad for breakfast or lunch.


SERVES: 4


INGREDIENTS

FOR THE SALAD

  • 200g Cucumber

  • 250g/ 15 Cherry Tomatoes

  • 190g Cucumber

  • 50g Red Onion

  • 100g Bell Pepper (Color of your choice)

  • 100g Bell Pepper (Another different color of your choice)

  • 120g Olives

  • 100g/ 9-10pcs Red Radishes

  • 1/2 Cup Mint Leaves

  • 200g Feta Cheese Cubes

FOR THE DRESSING

  • 1 tbsp Vinegar

  • 1 tbsp Fresh Lemon Juice

  • 1 tsp Honey/Sugar

  • 2 tbsp Virgin Olive Oil

  • 1/2 tsp Dried Oregano

  • 1/4 tsp Crushed Black Pepper

  • 1/2 tsp Salt


Method

  1. Chop the cherry tomatoes and olives into halves. Chop the bell peppers into cubes. Chop onions, radishes and cucumber into slices. Chop the mint leaves as well.

  2. Make the dressing in a bowl by adding all the ingredients listed for dressing and stir well.

  3. In a large mixing bowl, add all the chopped salad ingredients and dressing. Mix it well and let it rest for 10 minutes so that the flavours blend together.


HELPFUL TIPS

  • Adjust the seasoning to your taste and serve immediately or within 2 hours.
