Sprouted Moong Salad
Simple, tasty and so wholesome, this easy sprouts salad will never let you down!
Serves: 4
INGREDIENTS
2 cups or 200g moong bean sprouts (see recipe here for how to make)
1 cup or 100g finely chopped cucumber
1 cup or 100g finely chopped tomato
1 cup or 60g pomegranate seeds
1 medium or 60 g onion chopped
1 small green chilli chopped
2 tbsp finely chopped cilantro
2 tbsp lemon juice (fresh)
30 ml or 2 - 3 tbsp water
1/2 tsp Himalayan salt
1/2 tsp chaat masala
1/2 tsp roasted cumin seed powder
Method
With 30 ml water, steam the sprouts in a wok, covered, for 3-5 minutes.
Let it cool and add the finely chopped cucumber, tomato, chilli and onion. Add all the seasonings above and add the pomegranate seeds. Mix well and serve!
Helpful Tips
You can adjust the seasonings as per your taste.
Steaming the sprouts a little helps in easier digestion.
You can serve it as a hot or cold salad. If serving hot, add all the vegetables and seasonings to the steamed moong bean sprouts when hot.
