Dry Fruit Cornflakes Chivda

MAKES ENOUGH FOR A FEW SNACK SESSIONS


INGREDIENTS

  • 1 cup/ 100g cashew nuts

  • 1 cup/ 100g almonds

  • 1/2 cup / 50g raisins

  • 300g Cornflakes (Regular/Plain)

  • 1/4 cup Sweet Neem/ Kari Patti

  • 6 tbsp Oil

  • 1 tsp Salt

  • 1/2 tsp Red Chili Powder

  • 1/4 tsp Turmeric Powder

  • 1/4 tsp Dry Pudina Powder

  • 2 tbsp Brown Sugar


Method

  1. Slice cashew and almonds into halfs

  2. Heat oil in a large wok

  3. Add sweet neem leaves and cashew nuts. Roast for 1-2 minutes on low flame and then add almonds and keep roasting on a medium heat till the nuts turn light pink.

  4. Add in turmeric, red chili, dry pudina and raisins.

  5. Add the cornflakes and stir well for 1-2 minutes. Switch off the flame and sugar and salt and mix well with the help of two wooden spoons.

  6. Let it cool and store in an air tight container.
